Louis Vuitton Lexington Pochette

The Louis Vuitton Lexington Pochette was released in 1998 by Marc Jacobs, the Artistic Director of the French Fashion House at the time. Marc Jacobs launched Louis Vuitton’s first Vernis collection. Vernis, which directly translates to varnish, is a high-shine, patent leather embossed with Louis Vuitton’s iconic monogram. The collection offered a range of new colors, with new models almost every season. It was in 1999 when the Louis Vuitton Lexington Pochette was initially advertised in Le Catalogue. The original Lexington Pochette came in 5 different colors: blue, pink, lime, beige, and grey.

More about Louis Vuitton Lexington Pochette

Louis Vuitton has then since released a limited edition Lexington Pochette ‘Fleurs’ edition in Vernis. Each handbag had 15 flowers attached by Louis Vuitton rivets. The Lexington Fleurs were available in 4 different colors: orange, beige, black, or pink – all with different color flowers. Marc Jacobs was highly admired for his collaboration with other artists while he was with Louis Vuitton. The Louis Vuitton collaboration with artist Robert Wilson was no different. Louis Vuitton released a limited edition line of bags and accessories in 2002, that included the Louis Vuitton Lexington Pochette. The handbag was crafted in a neon orange Vernis with bold pink stripe detailing.
