Let’s do a quick recap – the hottest brands of 2022 have been Gucci, Prada, Valentino, Miu Miu and Balenciaga as well as Jacquemus, Dior, Fendi and Diesel. So looking for these brands secondhand is generally a good idea as you might be able to save a pretty penny.

The year of Prada
Prada has been one of the biggest brands this year and it’s in part because of two of their styles – they debuted their very popular white tank top on the runway of their Fall 2022 collection and it’s been making waves ever since. You don’t have to splurge on the Prada tank but it’s definitely proven that a little effort goes a long way.
Another item that definitely made sure that Prada was one of the hottest brands in 2022 – the Cleo bag. It was launched as part of Prada’s 2020 ‘Multiple Views’ show but the shape comes from the archives, more notably the 90s. The shape of the bag is very reminiscent of the Gucci Jackie bag which was also a big hit in 2022. These silhouettes are definitely worth looking for in the coming year.

The comeback of the ballet flat
The ballet flats from Miu Miu were one of 2022 hottest styles. In general, the ballet flat has made quite the comeback in recent years as Y2K, ballet core and preppy has come back into style. This type of footwear is one to watch for sure.
Start your engines – Diesel's back
It’s no surprise that at least one item on this list would be from Diesel – the brand has had a big revival and we’re definitely here for the ride. The 1DR logo is scattered across accessories, clothes and everything in between. One of 2022 hottest items was the 1DR logo belt. Logo belts have always been a massive hit as it’s an easy way to dip your toes into a brand without fully committing with a larger purchase.
Gucci never goes out of style
As we quickly mentioned above, the Gucci Jackie bag was a massive hit in 2022, more specifically the small Jackie 1961. It’s the perfect shape for both everyday and evening wear and with the bag being available in a plethora of colors and patterns it’s possible for almost everyone to find their perfect Jackie.
Besides the Jackie, another Gucci item was massively popular last year. Again, as we mentioned above, preppy has really come back into style – if you can say that about such a classic way of dressing – and with preppy comes loafers. We’re talking about the Gucci 1953 Horsebit leather loafers. Loafers are a classic shoe and when you combine that with the classic Gucci horsebit, you have a shoe that’ll never go out of style.
